AI Platform Engineer (Cloud & MLOps)

About the role

Five9 is looking for an AI Platform Engineer to build and operate the cloud‑based AI platform that powers the company’s contact‑center solutions. You will create the foundational infrastructure, pipelines, runtime environments and governance guardrails that enable AI solution teams to ship quickly, safely and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate the AI platform on Google Cloud, including compute, networking and runtime environments.
• Implement infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform to ensure reproducible and auditable environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security gates.
• Set up model and agent serving, versioning, evaluation and prompt management for MLOps/LLMOps workloads.
• Create secure data connectors, pipelines and integration surfaces for AI solutions.
• Embed security, data‑classification and responsible‑AI controls (IAM, secrets, egress, policy‑as‑code) in collaboration with InfoSec.
• Provide reusable libraries, templates and self‑service tooling for other engineers.
• Instrument monitoring, logging, cost tracking and SLOs; own platform reliability and incident response.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in platform, DevOps, infrastructure or MLOps engineering, with production cloud operations.
