AI Engineer – Manager Level (Hyderabad)

About the role

This role is a key contributor in the Data & Analytics, AI team, focusing on Natural Language Processing (NLP). You will lead data‑analytics initiatives, monitor and improve NLU model performance, collaborate with legal‑technology advisors, business units, the innovation lab and finance team, and further develop generative AI solutions for the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Develop on‑premises and cloud‑based applications in Python, ensuring compliance with enterprise, security and government architecture standards.
• Design architectural solutions for both on‑premises and cloud environments and produce clear documentation for stakeholders.
• Recommend and implement new software development methodologies, design patterns and approaches to improve product delivery.
• Apply Agile and DevOps practices to deliver maintainable and scalable applications.
• Identify emerging technologies for innovation within the Data Science Lab and Legal Technology Solutions group.
• Contribute to data‑science use cases as needed.

Required profile

• 6‑7 years of total experience, with at least 3 years in the listed technologies.
• BSc or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; customer‑facing or consulting experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Azure AI ecosystem (AI Services, GPT models, vector search, Cognitive search, Document Intelligence, Azure queues).
• Advanced Python (multithreading, document processing, packaging).
• Theoretical understanding of LLM‑driven applications.
• Deep learning and NLP experience.
• Hands‑on experience configuring Azure OpenAI language models.
• Software engineering best practices (high code quality, debugging, Azure CI/CD).
• Load testing of generative AI applications.
• Solid Machine Learning knowledge and data‑exploration skills.
• Experience with Databricks and Spark.
