Advanced Engineer – QE II (Performance Testing)

About the role

Invesco is seeking an Advanced Engineer QE II to lead performance engineering initiatives across its enterprise applications. The role combines technical leadership with hands‑on performance testing to ensure systems meet non‑functional requirements and deliver optimal user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in performance testing, workload modeling, tuning, and validation of non‑functional requirements.
• Lead end‑to‑end performance engagements: scenario creation, script development, execution, and result analysis.
• Execute benchmark, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests and monitor logs, telemetry, and system behavior.
• Publish test results, dashboards, and obtain stakeholder sign‑offs; manage defects through the full lifecycle.
• Drive performance baselining, shift‑left practices, and contribute to engineering standards.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps/SRE, and product teams to embed performance considerations early.

Required profile

• Proven technical leadership in performance engineering.
• Hands‑on experience delivering performance tests for complex enterprise systems.
• Ability to communicate progress, risks, and results to project managers and technical leadership.

Required skills

• NeoLoad, LoadRunner Professional/Enterprise/Cloud, TrueClient protocol.
• Specialized protocols: Oracle NCA, Citrix, RDP, SAP Web.
• Observability tools: New Relic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics.
• Performance analysis of CPU, memory, network, GC, DB parameters.
• CI/CD integration of performance gates.
• Knowledge of JMeter (advantage).
