Accountant / Management Accountant (1-3 yrs)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our CA firm in Guwahati. The role involves maintaining client books, preparing accounting records, and supporting GST, TDS and audit assignments. The ideal candidate will have 1‑3 years of experience and a strong grasp of Indian tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts and record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journal entries and bank transactions.
• Perform bank, ledger and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and review GST filings (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B) and assist with TDS calculations and returns.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, schedules and income‑tax returns.
• Support statutory, tax and internal audit assignments.
• Coordinate with clients to obtain documents, resolve queries and ensure accurate documentation.
• Carry out other accounting and compliance tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent qualification.
• 1‑3 years of experience, preferably in a CA or accounting firm.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS and basic income‑tax compliance.
• Strong analytical, numerical and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Effective communication and client‑handling skills.
