Web Application Firewall (WAF) Analyst

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a cybersecurity professional to specialize in Web Application Firewall (WAF) management, automated fraud and bot protection, and ecommerce security. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to safeguard web applications against threats such as SQL injection, XSS, and DDoS attacks.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain WAF solutions (Akamai, Cloudflare, AWS, F5) to protect web applications.
• Implement BOT protection and automated fraud prevention measures.
• Conduct threat analysis, incident response, and OWASP Top 10 vulnerability mitigation.
• Develop and tune security policies and rule sets to reduce false positives.
• Utilize SIEM platforms (Google Security Operations, Splunk, QRadar) for monitoring and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI‑DSS standards.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

• Experience reducing false positives through WAF configuration.
• Experience creating custom security rules to mitigate credential stuffing and similar attacks.
