Staff Software Engineer (Node, React, AWS, AI)

About the role

You’ll shape the future of a business‑critical platform as the technical lead across product engineering and cloud infrastructure. You’ll drive the evolution toward a cloud‑native, React/Node.js, AI‑enabled architecture, owning end‑to‑end design of backend, frontend, CI/CD, DevOps and AWS infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture and development of scalable Node.js services and APIs.
• Design, implement, and operate AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK and TypeScript.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild and modern DevOps practices.
• Drive modernization initiatives such as clean architecture, refactoring and technical debt reduction.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL and MSSQL databases for performance and reliability.
• Develop and integrate React and TypeScript front‑end applications with backend services.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience delivering and operating scalable software systems.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Node.js, TypeScript and modern backend architecture.
• Production experience with core AWS services (EC2/ECS, Lambda, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch).
• Proven ability to design and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Experience with React, TypeScript and integrating front‑ends with REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, clean architecture, design patterns and distributed systems.
