Staff Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

AlphaSense is seeking a highly experienced Staff Site Reliability Engineer to shape reliability, scalability, and performance across its global platform. You will architect core reliability platforms, lead incident response, and drive SRE best practices throughout the engineering organization.

Key responsibilities

• Architect reliability platforms and self‑service tooling that enable a “You Build It, You Run It” culture.
• Lead AI‑driven reliability initiatives, automating diagnostics, remediation, and proactive failure prevention.
• Champion SRE culture through design reviews, production‑readiness checks, and operational standards.
• Act as Incident Commander for critical events, ensuring blameless postmortems and lasting improvements.
• Advance observability by delivering end‑to‑end monitoring, tracing, and continuous profiling.
• Mentor and multiply engineering talent across SRE and product teams.

Required profile

• 8+ years of SRE/DevOps experience, with at least 3 years in a senior SRE role.
• Strong background running production SaaS systems at scale.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar scripting language.
• Hands‑on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, load balancing).
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and ELK.
• Familiarity with advanced observability technologies (OTEL, continuous profiling).
• Proven incident management experience, including leading high‑severity incidents and postmortems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
