Software Test Engineer (Wi-Fi)

About the role

Arista Networks is expanding its campus Wi‑Fi portfolio and seeks a hands‑on Software Test Engineer to join the Bangalore team. You will collaborate with software, hardware and field support engineers to ensure Wi‑Fi products meet complex customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Understand Arista Wi‑Fi cloud architecture, its components and related products.
• Work with development, test and field teams to gather requirements, review specifications and validate product functionality.
• Own assigned features, act as the subject‑matter expert and be the first point of contact for field escalations.
• Design, deploy and maintain large‑scale Wi‑Fi labs that emulate customer environments.
• Execute end‑to‑end testing of wired and wireless solutions and perform interoperability testing between Arista APs and enterprise clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 5–15 years of experience troubleshooting wired or wireless networks and debugging complex software.
• Hands‑on experience with Wi‑Fi 7, Wi‑Fi 6E, Wi‑Fi 6 Enterprise AP features and RF/L1 intricacies.
• Proven ability to design and implement Wi‑Fi labs at scale.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals across the OSI stack and Linux networking tools.
• Basic familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON and SQL is a plus.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
