Senior Platform Engineer – Python, Terraform CDK, Azure PaaS

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join BASF’s Digital Hub in Hyderabad. In this role you will design, build and optimise cloud‑native platform components that empower development teams to deliver secure, scalable and reliable applications.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement platform services using Python, Terraform CDK (CDKTF) and Azure PaaS.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure platform reliability, security and performance.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Support development teams in adopting best practices for cloud deployment and operations.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (Kanban/Scrum) and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Platform Engineer.
• Proven experience working in agile environments such as Kanban or Scrum.
• Strong ability to work with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Terraform CDK (CDKTF) for infrastructure as code.
• Azure PaaS services (e.g., Azure App Service, Functions, Storage).
