Senior Analyst – Regulatory Reporting (Data Engineering)

About the role

Join Nium’s Risk & Compliance team as a Senior Analyst focused on regulatory reporting. You will design and implement data pipelines that enable accurate, auditable regulatory submissions across the company’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and delivering regulatory and compliance data.
• Develop and support XML and REST API connectors to integrate data from banking partners, regulatory bodies, and internal systems.
• Implement real‑time transaction processing and portfolio updates to support risk monitoring and reporting.
• Create and optimise data models in cloud data warehouses (e.g., Redshift) for audit‑trail queries and regulatory analytics.
• Establish data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to ensure integrity of regulatory data.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT pipeline development, or systems integration.
• Strong SQL expertise, including query optimisation and complex transformations.
• Proficiency in Python for building data pipelines and processing logic.
• Hands‑on experience with API development (REST, SOAP) and handling XML/JSON data formats.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or Google BigQuery.
