Remote Sales Specialist – Travel & Tourism

About the role

The Sales Specialist role at Traverse Yatra is a full‑time, remote position dedicated to driving travel bookings and nurturing client relationships. You will act as the primary point of contact for prospective travelers, presenting tailored itineraries that match their preferences and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to inbound inquiries via phone, email and messaging platforms, presenting suitable travel packages.
• Create customized itineraries and proposals based on client preferences, budget and destination interests.
• Manage a personal sales pipeline, qualify leads, follow up consistently and convert prospects into confirmed bookings.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and transactions in the company’s CRM system.
• Collaborate with operations and customer‑service teams to ensure smooth delivery of travel services and resolve any issues promptly.
• Provide feedback to improve sales strategies, travel offerings and overall customer experience.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service abilities with a professional, trust‑building approach.
• Proven sales competencies including lead qualification, negotiation, closing and upselling travel products.
• Experience or genuine interest in the travel and tourism sector, with knowledge of Indian and popular international destinations.
• Comfort working remotely in a performance‑driven environment and managing your own sales pipeline.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Tourism, Hospitality or a related field, and prior experience in travel sales or other customer‑facing roles.
