English to Spanish (LatAm) Life Sciences Linguist

About the role

We are seeking an English‑to‑Spanish (Latin American) Life Sciences Linguist to join our partner’s team in India. You will provide high‑quality translation and review services for pharmaceutical, clinical research, and medical device documentation, ensuring linguistic precision and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Translate clinical trial, pharmacovigilance, and regulatory documents from English into Latin American Spanish with technical accuracy.
• Perform Machine Translation Post‑Editing (MTPE) on safety and life‑sciences content.
• Copy‑edit translated and post‑edited materials to maintain consistency, tone, terminology, and readability.
• Handle a variety of document types, including protocols, informed consent forms, SmPCs, PILs, labels, CTD modules, PSURs, DSURs, and risk‑management plans.
• Work within the client’s CAT‑tool environment (XTM or Phrase) and use Microsoft Word Track Changes for revisions.
• Meet strict, non‑extendable turnaround times and deliver audit‑ready outputs.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of professional translation experience in life sciences, clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, or medical documentation.
• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, Language Studies, or an equivalent qualification, or a recognized graduate qualification combined with the required experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAT tools such as XTM or Phrase.
• Experience in Machine Translation Post‑Editing (MTPE).
• Advanced use of Microsoft Word, especially Track Changes.
