Engineering Manager - Quality

About the role

As an Engineering Manager - Quality at Chalhoub Group, you will lead the Quality Governance capability for a leading luxury retail technology organization. Based in Bangalore, you will define enterprise quality standards, manage release quality gates, and drive continuous improvement across engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own enterprise quality standards and QA methodologies across engineering teams.
• Manage release quality gates, governing entry and exit criteria to ensure releases meet quality and business requirements.
• Track and analyze defect metrics using tools such as TestRail to identify trends and drive improvement.
• Own release management from a quality perspective, ensuring sign‑off and readiness for major launches.
• Lead and develop the QA team, setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and reporting quality posture to leadership.

Required profile

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in quality engineering and QA, including defining quality standards.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring QA engineers and driving continuous delivery quality.
• Strong command of QA standards, release management, and defect analytics.
• Experience supporting quality governance in ecommerce or retail technology environments with complex integrations.
