About the role

We are looking for a Cost Engineer to lead benchmarking and cost‑engineering activities for our product portfolio in Bangalore. The role combines competitor analysis, cost estimation and manufacturing process expertise to drive product profitability.

Key responsibilities

Conduct competitor product studies and teardown analysis to understand market positioning and design features.
Perform product and component cost estimation for Greenfield and Brownfield projects, including sales price, design‑to‑cost and negotiation calculations.
Execute technical studies on manufacturing processes, design features and material specifications, and document assembly techniques and sequences.
Develop detailed product comparison reports, engage with suppliers to gather cost and capability information, and apply holistic cost‑engineering methods to optimise product economics.

Required profile

BE in Mechanical, Automotive or Mechatronics Engineering.
6 to 8 years of experience in cost engineering, benchmarking or related manufacturing analysis.
