AWS Cloud‑Native Java Developer

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services is looking for an experienced Java developer to build and modernise cloud‑native applications on AWS. You will work on large‑scale enterprise systems, delivering new features and improving existing services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Java monolith core applications and peripheral services.
• Deliver bug fixes, enhancements and light releases aligned with sprint cycles.
• Design and implement REST and SOAP APIs for system integration.
• Write and optimise PL/SQL queries, perform DB tuning and data fixes.
• Contribute to Micronaut‑based, container‑ready services.
• Participate in API‑driven modularisation of monolithic components.
• Follow Secure SDLC practices, including security controls and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA Analysts and onsite‑offshore delivery teams.

Required profile

• 4–10+ years of hands‑on Java/J2EE enterprise application development.
• Strong proficiency with Spring (Core, MVC, Boot) and REST API development.
• Experience with Oracle SQL / PL‑SQL and large monolithic systems.
• Exposure to AWS (PaaS/basic deployments) and container concepts such as Docker.
• Understanding of API‑led architecture and service‑based decomposition.
• Willingness to learn or experience with Micronaut framework.
• Ability to work in an Agile and DevSecOps environment.
• Strong debugging, performance tuning and problem‑solving skills.
