Assistant Manager – Purchasing Project Management (Senior)

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager to lead purchasing project management for Bosch Automotive Electronics India (RBAI) in Bengaluru. The role will drive acquisition of new projects, manage component sourcing and ensure timely delivery to meet customer milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise project acquisition (A&B category) and develop components according to business requirements.
• Identify and mitigate risks from risk‑management, purchasing and supplier quality teams to avoid production stoppages.
• Plan and manage sourcing of mechanical and electronic components to meet customer timelines.
• Follow the defined purchasing project‑management process and coordinate with program, engineering and cross‑functional teams.
• Prepare and present progress reports from acquisition to SOP to the Purchasing Review Board.
• Generate cost‑reduction ideas and work with engineering, suppliers and internal functions to achieve targets.
• Analyse electronic material risk categories and define corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in purchasing and project management within automotive or electronic manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of risk management, supplier quality and component sourcing.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, program management and other purchasing teams.
• Excellent analytical and presentation skills.
