Accountant – Record to Report (Ahmedabad)

About the role

Qatar Airways is seeking an Accountant to join its Record to Report team in Ahmedabad. The role supports the Global Business Services function, handling period‑end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting for the airline’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute period‑end closing activities including GL processing, provisioning, accruals posting and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Enter and book general ledger entries in the ERP system.
• Prepare financial data and statements, ensuring timely closure of books.
• Maintain the fixed‑assets register and perform monthly and annual reconciliations for internal review and audit.
• Support tax filing, liaison and assessment for applicable regions.
• Assist internal and external auditors and respond to governance queries.

Required profile

• CA Fresher or CA (Inter) with 2‑3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Preferably from the airline industry or a tax consultancy background.
• Strong understanding of GL, bank reconciliation and financial reporting processes.

Required skills

• User‑level proficiency with Oracle or SAP (or other ERP systems).
