Stone Masonry Engineer – Granite Construction

About the role

MAMAT Heritage & Culture Centre is developing a landmark theme park at Mahabalipuram that showcases India’s heritage. The Stone Masonry Engineer will provide technical leadership for granite masonry, stone placement, alignment and erection on this major cultural and architectural project.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and document stone masonry methodologies.
• Review stone block dimensions and tolerances and supervise their placement and alignment.
• Monitor joints, locking mechanisms and interfaces to ensure structural integrity.
• Coordinate traditional masonry workmanship and conduct stone mock‑up trials.
• Inspect workmanship quality and resolve site‑related technical issues.
• Collaborate with structural and architectural teams and maintain accurate installation records.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in granite construction, traditional stone masonry, and large‑scale stone erection for temples or monuments.
• Hands‑on stone engineering professional with strong knowledge of precision stone erection.
