About the role

We are seeking an experienced Import Stock Part Buyer with Customs Expertise to support Siemens’ GIS Switchgear production. The role focuses on international procurement, managing purchase orders, and ensuring seamless customs clearance for a diverse range of stock parts.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and review material requirements from SAP MRP outputs.
• Create and issue purchase orders for imported components, ensuring correct quantities, delivery dates, pricing, and Incoterms.
• Manage the full PO lifecycle, coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
• Act as primary contact for import activities, preparing and reviewing all required documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, customs declarations).
• Ensure compliance with import regulations, HS codes, duties, tariffs, and country‑of‑origin rules.
• Proactively resolve customs issues, delays, or discrepancies.
• Track and expedite open purchase orders with international suppliers, considering transit times and customs processing.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of changes in international trade policies and customs regulations.

Required profile

• Strong experience in international procurement and import processes.
• Deep knowledge of customs regulations, trade agreements, and documentation requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with global suppliers and logistics partners.
• Proficiency in SAP for material planning and purchase order management.
