Purchasing Associate

About the role

Tetra Pak is looking for a Purchasing Associate to join its procurement team in Pune. You will support end‑to‑end purchase‑to‑pay processes, ensuring timely creation of purchase orders, accurate goods receipt, and smooth invoice handling while adhering to global sourcing policies.

Key responsibilities

• Execute transactional and replenishment activities in line with sourcing strategies.
• Create Purchase Orders from approved requisitions following the Purchasing Policy.
• Confirm orders for critical items and perform GRIR reconciliation for indirect purchases.
• Maintain aged purchase order housekeeping and resolve invoice queries promptly.
• Follow global supplier‑management processes and keep the Supply Manager informed of operational issues.
• Provide feedback on system issues to the responsible contacts.
• Develop and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate updates and new developments to relevant parties.
• Monitor operational KPI dashboards and drive actions to meet targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any discipline.
• 1‑5 years of experience in procurement or Procure‑to‑Pay operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Action‑oriented, assertive, and able to work under deadlines.
• Team player with proactive communication across borders.
