Production Technician

About the role

LyondellBasell seeks a Production Technician to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of its chemical production lines. The role supports the Goal Zero safety target, maintains equipment, and drives performance against quality, quantity, and delivery KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure each shift complies with HSE regulations and the company’s Goal Zero objectives.
• Oversee smooth production line operations, maintaining equipment and managing assigned manpower.
• Execute process orders, verify SOP adherence, and complete grade‑line tasks on schedule.
• Maintain QMS, EMS, and GMP standards throughout production activities.
• Support reduction of scrap, off‑spec generation, change‑over time, and process downtime while maintaining throughput.
• Perform timely maintenance of main and downstream equipment and assist in identifying CAPEX or debottlenecking projects.
• Manage material handling, packaging, and labeling of finished goods to avoid customer complaints.
• Update daily shift reports and ensure accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as maintenance, quality, and logistics to achieve common goals.

Required profile

• Experience working in a manufacturing or chemical production environment.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and work effectively in a shift‑based team.
• Good organizational skills for documentation and reporting.

Required skills

• Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Familiarity with Production Planning and Delivery Schedule (PPDS) processes.
• Experience with CAPEX identification and Management of Change (MOC) actions.
• Packaging, labeling, and material handling proficiency.
