Principal Architect & General Manager

About the role

TradesApp is looking for an experienced Principal Architect & General Manager to head its Architecture, Design, Multimedia, Signage and Fit‑Out operations in India. The role combines deep architectural expertise with business leadership, client development and team management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the India operation covering architecture, design, BIM, signage, multimedia and project teams.
• Oversee design and delivery of F&B, retail, restaurant, hospitality and fit‑out projects.
• Develop and mentor architects, interior designers, BIM professionals and other technical staff.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Coordinate with Saudi‑based teams, clients, consultants and contractors.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and external client relationships.
• Lead client presentations, proposals, negotiations and project discussions.
• Establish design standards, workflows, quality controls and operational processes.
• Monitor profitability, resources, timelines and overall business performance.
• Drive growth and expansion of the India operation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• 12+ years of experience in architecture, design or fit‑out, preferably in F&B, retail, hospitality and commercial projects.
• Proven experience managing architectural/design teams or an office.
• Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
• Leadership, communication, negotiation and decision‑making abilities.
• Experience with GCC/Saudi projects is highly preferred.
• Willingness to work closely with international teams.
