Civil Engineer – Design & Project Delivery

About the role

AECOM India is looking for a motivated Civil Engineer to join its civil engineering practice. You will work on medium to large‑scale projects such as cultural buildings, high‑rises, airports, transit facilities and research centres, delivering design, coordination and planning support.

Key responsibilities

• Support design, coordination, planning and completion of engineering projects.
• Perform analysis and design of structural systems using relevant building codes.
• Manage project deliverables, supervise junior engineers and modelers, and prepare contract documents.
• Check work quality, adjust work plans to maintain QA/QC, and monitor task time to avoid overruns.
• Explore automation of repetitive tasks and assist with computational design efforts.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience on projects similar in size and scope.
• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience with general civil works – site grading, earthworks, drainage, roads, pavements, fencing, hydraulic and underground piping.
• Familiarity with Indian codes (mandatory) and exposure to US, BS or Eurocodes.
• Strong verbal and written communication, time‑management and people‑management skills.

Required skills

• Sewer GEM, Water GEM, Civil 3D, ETABS, STAAD, AutoCAD.
• Microsoft Office, Excel design sheets, programming/macros.
• Rhino, Grasshopper, Python (optional but advantageous).
• Design of electrical substation structures and foundations.
