Welder Trainer

About the role

TWI Ltd is seeking a Welder Trainer to join its TWI India team in Chennai. The role involves designing, delivering and continuously improving welding training programmes for a range of customers, including technical schools, corporate clients, government skill parks and individual learners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update curricula for SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW and soldering techniques in line with industry standards.
• Conduct classroom instruction and hands‑on practice sessions, assess learner performance through exams and practical tests.
• Maintain training equipment, ensure safety compliance and manage workshop resources.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to trainees pursuing certification.
• Travel across India to represent TWI at client sites, workshops and industry events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in welding and technical training.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication abilities and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Willingness to travel nationally and adapt to diverse training environments.
