Transportation Planner

About the role

The Transportation Planner owns the end‑to‑end scheduling process for shipments, ensuring timely delivery while optimizing fleet and warehouse utilization. You will analyze data, apply transportation planning models, and coordinate with carriers, warehouses, and customers to build feasible shipment schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and optimize shipment schedules using TCT transportation planning models.
• Assign carriers according to PepsiCo policies, contracts, route guides and capacity availability.
• Adjust schedules to maintain practical and feasible shipment plans.
• Monitor carrier acceptance/rejection (A/R) and resolve issues under time pressure.
• Publish final “Trip Build” shipments according to cut‑off times.
• Collaborate with transport planners, execution teams and performance teams to balance workloads and address capacity constraints.
• Support root‑cause analysis for carrier performance deviations.

Required profile

• Engineering degree from a Tier‑1 university.
• 2–5 years of experience in transport planning or logistics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP, a Transportation Management System (TMS) or other logistics software.
• Fluent English communication skills.
