Tax Consultant – Corporate Tax Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Consultant to manage and support domestic direct tax compliance for our organization. The role involves preparing corporate income‑tax returns, coordinating tax audits, and ensuring timely and accurate tax filings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate income‑tax returns, advance tax calculations and related documentation.
• Coordinate tax audits, respond to authority notices, and assist in tax assessments.
• Maintain a compliance tracker and provide withholding tax advisory.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, business and shared services teams to gather data and resolve queries.
• Support tax provisioning, contingent liability assessment, effective tax rate analysis and statutory reporting.
• Contribute to automation, standardisation and strengthening of tax compliance processes and controls.

Required profile

• Strong working knowledge of the Income‑tax Act, domestic corporate tax regulations and tax audit requirements.
• Hands‑on experience preparing corporate tax computations, returns, notices and reconciliations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to represent the company before tax authorities.
• Passionate about learning and growing within the organization.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the Income‑tax Act and corporate tax compliance.
• Experience with tax provisioning, effective tax rate analysis and audit coordination.
• Proficiency in preparing tax returns, advance tax calculations and handling tax authority communications.
