About the role
We are seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead a retail outlet, overseeing the store’s profit and loss, driving sales, and delivering outstanding customer service. The role requires strong operational oversight, talent development, and adherence to company standards.
Key responsibilities
- Set store sales plans and quotas aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain gross margin, stock on hand, segment & brand mix, discount management, and other key metrics.
- Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
- Recommend product lines and ensure an appropriate merchandise mix.
- Drive sales, margin, shrink control, inventory management and cost optimisation.
- Manage commercial and statutory compliance.
- Lead performance management and foster teamwork among store staff.
- Identify and develop talent for critical positions.
- Address customer feedback to improve service and processes.
- Monitor competition and manage customer escalations.
- Organise local events and promotions according to the marketing calendar.
- Promote a "Customer Obsessed Culture" to prioritise customer centricity.
