Staff Backend Engineer - Platform

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to join SigNoz’s Platform team. You will help build the core infrastructure that powers our open‑source observability platform, handling petabyte‑scale data and ensuring high performance and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain billing, revenue, caching, and SaaS operation services.
• Create a marketplace of integrations with patterns, templates, and tooling for the community.
• Design and implement APIs, services, and core backend components in Go.
• Ensure SaaS auto‑scalability and make the ingest path robust to traffic bursts while keeping data fresh.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of professional experience with Go.
• Deep understanding of Go concurrency primitives such as locks, channels, and performance tuning.
• Proven experience building distributed systems and writing clean, scalable code.
• Passion for open‑source, with prior contributions to OSS projects.
• Ability to drive initiatives from problem discovery through design, implementation, and rollout.
• Strong communication skills for writing technical documentation and explaining trade‑offs.
