Software Engineer – Java

About the role

U.S. Bancorp India is seeking a Java‑focused Software Engineer to contribute to its digital transformation journey. You will work on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high‑quality software that supports the bank’s innovative financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain end‑to‑end product features.
• Take full‑stack ownership by writing production‑ready, testable code.
• Create optimal designs that consider scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Analyze failures, propose design changes, and drive operational improvements.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with security and development standards.
• Embed software reliability engineering practices into the development lifecycle.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to best‑practice adoption.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of seven years of professional software development experience.
• Self‑motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working across teams.
• Familiarity with Agile development and DevOps principles.
