Software Development Manager, Product & Offers Experience

Join Amazon’s Product & Offers Experience organization, the team that builds the core shopping journey from product discovery to add‑to‑cart. As a Software Development Manager you will define vision, set technical road‑maps and lead a high‑performing engineering group that powers the world’s largest product showroom.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Software Development and Quality Assurance Engineers building scalable, distributed systems and mobile customer experiences.
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and coach engineers across experience levels, fostering an inclusive culture.
• Own project planning, execution, and delivery against commitments in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, set priorities, and communicate progress.
• Maintain operational metrics, support software in production, and drive engineering best‑practice improvements.

Required profile

• 7+ years of engineering experience with at least 3 years of engineering team management.
• Proven experience designing and delivering multi‑tier web services at scale.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and excellent communication across technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Demonstrated track record of hiring, developing, and retaining top engineering talent.

Required skills

• Multi‑tier web services development.
• Full software development lifecycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, live‑site operations).
