Shift Engineer – CP/Spinning/Utilities

About the role

We are looking for a Shift Engineer to oversee CP, Spinning and Utilities operations on the plant floor. The role involves supervising safety procedures, monitoring process parameters and ensuring smooth start‑up, shutdown and maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and enforce safety procedures and risk assessments before job execution.
• Support the shift superintendent in monitoring process parameters, troubleshooting and expediting maintenance.
• Provide field supervision for shutdown, start‑up and preservation activities.
• Utilise the OMPro tool effectively for operational monitoring.
• Mitigate process emergencies and manage emergency shutdowns.
• Coordinate with field and maintenance executives to expedite maintenance and safe hand‑over (HOTO) of equipment.
• Implement PIOs and support improvement studies within the area.
• Participate in incident learning, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain shift logs, daily performance reports and utilities consumption records.
• Provide field training to executives and subordinates and serve as a member of the auxiliary fire squad.

Required profile

• B.Tech/B.E. in Textile Engineering.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in plant operations, shift engineering or related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the OMPro tool.
