Senior Software Engineer II, Machine Learning

About the role

Poshmark is a leading social marketplace that blends fashion, community and technology. As a Senior Software Engineer II on the Machine Learning team, you will help build and scale the platform that powers search, personalization, fraud detection and catalog digitisation for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the entire ML lifecycle from data collection to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data science, QA, infrastructure and other engineering teams to productionise ML models.
• Write and optimise production code to ensure robustness and reliability of ML services at scale.
• Maintain existing solutions while evolving them with newer technologies.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience applying machine learning to concrete problems at large scale.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics or a related field.
• Strong computer‑science fundamentals and ability to design algorithms.
• Solid understanding of ML fundamentals such as regression, classification, tree‑based methods, neural networks and sequence models.

Required skills

• Python, SQL, Java or Scala.
• Experience with ML frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit‑learn.
• Familiarity with big‑data tools: Spark, EMR, S3, Airflow.
• Model serving and API frameworks: Flask, FastAPI, Gunicorn, MLflow, SageMaker.
• Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins.
• Databases and messaging: Redis, Redshift, MongoDB, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Milvus.
• Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings and vector databases.
