Senior SAP Basis & Cloud Operations Engineer

About the role

TeamWalmart’s Enterprise Business Services (EBS) is seeking a senior engineer to lead SAP system administration, cloud operations, and performance optimization across critical enterprise landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead administration of SAP NetWeaver (ECC) and SAP S/4HANA environments, including upgrades, technical transformations and integrations.
• Provide hands‑on SAP HANA administration, performance tuning, capacity planning and issue resolution.
• Govern SAP transport management using STMS and Solution Manager ChaRM.
• Design and operate enterprise monitoring architecture with SAP Focused Run, Solution Manager and SAP Cloud ALM.
• Oversee daily SAP Basis operations, monitoring, reporting, housekeeping and capacity planning.
• Plan and execute kernel upgrades, support package stacks and patching with minimal disruption.
• Define and enforce vulnerability management, security patch governance and authentication strategies (SSL, certificates, SAML, OAuth).
• Drive complex troubleshooting across SAP Fiori, GUI, Enterprise Portal, printers and integration components.
• Lead integration support for PI/PO, BW, Portal, ADS, SSO and SAML 2.0.
• Own root‑cause analysis for major incidents and implement preventive actions.
• Identify and implement automation, performance and cost‑optimization initiatives for SAP workloads on cloud platforms.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in SAP Basis administration for ECC, S/4HANA, BW, MDG and SLT.
• Proven leadership in SAP HANA operations, monitoring and performance tuning.
• Strong background in SAP transport management, security and vulnerability remediation.
• Hands‑on expertise in troubleshooting SAP UI technologies and integration layers.
• Ability to design and manage large‑scale monitoring and cloud automation solutions.
