Senior Data Engineer – Azure & OpenShift

About the role

Bosch Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build and optimise data pipelines on Azure and OpenShift. The role requires 6–8 years of experience and the ability to adapt to evolving project needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and PySpark on Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Ingest data from transactional databases, APIs and streaming sources, transforming it into clean formats for downstream consumption.
• Implement unit and integration testing, monitoring and alerting (Grafana) to ensure data quality and pipeline health.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on OpenShift, including deployment configurations using HELM.
• Drive CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for automated testing, building and deployment.
• Develop complex SQL queries and data models for SQL Server and other data stores.
• Optimise performance of pipelines and databases through query tuning and indexing.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and engineering teams, documenting architecture and processes.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of relevant data engineering experience.
