Senior Cargo Sales Agent – Mumbai

About the role

The Senior Cargo Sales Agent will drive cargo revenue for the Mumbai station by implementing effective sales strategies, providing high‑quality customer service, and ensuring smooth import and export operations.

Key responsibilities

• Generate maximum cargo revenue through telesales, rate quotations, and promotion of services.
• Interact with freight forwarders, direct shippers, and consignees to handle queries and bookings.
• Liaise with local Ground Handling Agents and the Head Office Cargo Department to maintain high‑service standards.
• Support import customers, coordinate customs clearance, and work with HQ and origin stations for assistance.
• Plan flights to optimise capacity utilisation and coordinate space allocation with QR Space Control.
• Handle cargo claims, discrepancies, and administrative issues at the station.
• Disseminate cargo‑related regulatory information to customers and ensure compliance.
• Prepare weekly and monthly service reports and update accounting systems.
• Ensure safety and security regulations are consistently met.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cargo sales, air freight, or related logistics functions.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to meet revenue and tonnage targets.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with agents, customs authorities, and internal teams.
• Good knowledge of cargo regulations, customs procedures, and airline operational processes.
• Proactive, organised, and capable of identifying performance improvement opportunities.
