Senior Business Analyst – Billing & Payments

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Business Analyst to drive billing and payment initiatives. The role will work closely with product, engineering, finance and QA teams to define, implement and validate billing rules that support Mastercard’s global payment ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and document business requirements for billing, pricing and transaction‑based rules.
• Translate complex billing logic into functional and non‑functional specifications.
• Review and validate test cases and results to ensure accurate implementation of billing rules.
• Partner with QA and engineering during system testing, UAT and production readiness.
• Investigate billing discrepancies, perform root‑cause analysis and support resolution.
• Collaborate with finance, product and operations to align billing processes with business objectives.
• Create and maintain BRDs, process flows and data mappings.
• Support change management for billing rule updates, product enhancements and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance or a related field.
• Experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, payments or technology environments.
• Strong understanding of billing concepts, pricing models and rule‑based logic.
• Proven ability to review test plans, test cases and validate data accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ISO 20022 payments messaging standards.
