Sales Manager – Commercial (India)

About the role

Inchcape Shipping Services is seeking a Commercial Manager for India to grow revenue from its customer base. The role works within a matrix structure as part of the Commercial team, focusing on customer relationships, pipeline development and profitable contract execution.

Key responsibilities

• Build understanding of customers by leveraging industry insights, visiting each customer quarterly and introducing at least one product per visit.
• Create meaningful connections, ensure alignment, achieve a win‑rate of at least 25 % and retain customers by selling additional products.
• Negotiate terms and conditions, apply commercial policies on pricing and contracts, and support accounts receivable to ensure timely payments.

Required profile

• Graduate with knowledge of IT and shipping operations; Master Mariner qualification with strong understanding of vessel operations and port requirements.
• Strong network with ship owners, operators, charterers and maritime stakeholders; ability to travel within India and work with common IT systems.
