Research Integrity Screening Specialist – Pune

About the role

Springer Nature is seeking a Research Integrity Screening Specialist to join its Editorial Excellence team in Pune. The specialist will lead the pre‑publication screening of manuscript submissions, ensuring that any integrity concerns are identified, evaluated and resolved before publication.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse submissions flagged by the Screening Hub technology, applying scientific evaluation and manuscript assessment strategies.
• Validate integrity concerns, differentiate false positives, and make accurate screening decisions.
• Conduct detailed manuscript assessments and determine whether concerns can be remediated by authors.
• Collaborate with internal editorial teams and external publication partners to communicate findings and next steps.
• Contribute to the development of screening guidelines, training materials and process audits.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and a rigorous, analytical mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with authors and editorial staff.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to established editorial policies and best‑practice standards.

Required skills

• Familiarity with research integrity policies and publication ethics.
• Experience using research integrity screening tools (e.g., Springer Nature’s Screening Hub).
