Program Coordinator

About the role

The Program Coordinator will support World Vision India’s Area Development Program by linking the office with community mobilisers and local groups. Working in Sriperumpudur, the coordinator helps improve child well‑being through community‑driven initiatives and sponsorship programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate World Vision’s mission, vision and values to communities and partners.
• Facilitate community ownership of child‑well‑being activities and support local child selection processes.
• Identify and develop multi‑stakeholder partnerships at the block level.
• Explore and promote resource diversification for programme sustainability.
• Monitor registered children, ensure compliance with sponsorship standards and support inclusion of vulnerable families.
• Establish community‑led child protection mechanisms and monitor children showing danger signs.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and technical support to community mobilisers.
• Coordinate cluster implementation of programmes and sponsorship activities.
• Support community‑based monitoring and reporting of programme outcomes.
• Enhance influence and collaboration with local stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience working with community mobilisers or similar grassroots teams.
• Ability to build and maintain partnerships with local organisations.
• Strong communication skills to convey World Vision’s identity and approach.
• Capacity to coach, mentor and facilitate capacity‑building activities.
• Understanding of child protection and child‑well‑being priorities.
• Commitment to inclusive development and serving vulnerable children.
