Professor of Law (Full‑time)

About the role

Amity University Kolkata is seeking an experienced and academically accomplished Professor of Law to join its Law School. The role involves delivering high‑quality teaching, conducting scholarly research, and providing academic leadership within the department.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and conduct classes in assigned areas of law.
• Develop and update course content, lesson plans, and teaching materials.
• Guide and mentor students in academic and research activities.
• Conduct quality research and publish papers in reputed journals.
• Supervise doctoral and postgraduate research scholars, as applicable.
• Contribute to curriculum development, academic planning, and departmental activities.
• Organise seminars, conferences, workshops, and guest lectures.
• Participate in institutional committees and other academic responsibilities.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Law from a recognized university.
• LL.M. with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent.
• LL.B. from a recognized university.
• Minimum 10 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized university or institution.
• Strong academic record with research publications in reputed journals.
• Experience in academic leadership, research supervision, and relevant professional activities is preferred.
