Print Designer – Bedsheets & Home Textiles

About the role

Nestasia is looking for a talented Print Designer to join its in‑house design team in Kolkata. The role focuses on creating trend‑forward prints for bedsheets and a range of home furnishing products, translating global and domestic trends into commercially viable designs for the retail market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop creative print designs for bedsheets, curtains, cushions, table linens and other soft and hard furnishings.
• Interpret global and local trend data to produce commercial print concepts suitable for retail.
• Collaborate with merchandising, sourcing and product planning teams to align designs with timelines and market needs.
• Coordinate with production teams and external vendors to ensure accurate sampling and final output quality.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to drive innovation.
• Prepare mood boards, colour palettes, CADs and repeat patterns for internal presentations and approvals.
• Contribute to seasonal collection planning and visual merchandising inputs.

Required profile

• 1.5–4 years of hands‑on experience in textile or print design, preferably in an export house.
• Proven expertise in bedsheet design and familiarity with both soft and hard furnishings.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Degree in Textile/Fashion Design from a recognised institute (e.g., NIFT, NID) is preferred.
