Primary French Teacher (IB PYP)

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Primary French Teacher to join Oakridge International School, Bengaluru. The successful candidate will deliver inquiry‑based French lessons within the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), fostering language proficiency and cultural awareness among young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and teach French lessons in line with IB PYP guidelines.
• Integrate French language learning with the school’s Units of Inquiry.
• Assess, record and monitor student progress regularly.
• Collaborate with fellow PYP teachers in interdisciplinary planning.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and safe classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff and school leadership.

Required profile

• Degree in French with a B.Ed. or equivalent qualification.
• 2–3 years of relevant teaching experience.
• Strong communication and classroom‑management skills.
• Experience with the IB PYP framework is preferred.

Required skills

• French language instruction.
• Familiarity with the IB PYP curriculum.
