About the role
AIMS Institutes is seeking a senior academic leader to serve as Program Manager for its School of Commerce. The role combines associate‑professor responsibilities with strategic oversight of B.Com and M.Com programmes, aiming to deliver practice‑ready graduates and a vibrant research culture.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end management of B.Com and M.Com programmes, including curriculum design, revision and accreditation readiness.
- Mentor faculty and students to publish in Scopus/WoS/ABDC‑indexed journals and present at national and international conferences.
- Forge and maintain partnerships with industry, CA/CMA firms, banks and financial institutions for internships, live projects and guest faculty engagements.
- Oversee timetabling, faculty workload distribution, examination planning and academic calendar adherence.
- Monitor and improve student academic performance, retention and placement outcomes.
- Lead NBA/NAAC documentation, self‑study reports and audit preparedness.
- Establish a Centre of Excellence in areas such as Finance, Taxation, Accounting Analytics or Entrepreneurship.
- Guide final‑year projects, dissertations and interdisciplinary applied research.
Required profile
- PhD in Commerce, Management or a closely related discipline from a recognised university.
- Minimum 8 years of post‑PhD academic experience or equivalent mix of academia and industry.
- At least 10 publications in peer‑reviewed, indexed journals (Scopus / Web of Science / ABDC); h‑index ≥ 5 preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum design for UG or PG commerce programmes.
- Prior administrative or program coordination experience.
