Preschool Teacher (Early Years)

About the role

Openhouse is seeking a passionate Preschool Teacher to lead a classroom of young learners in Bengaluru. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing, play‑based environment that supports children aged 1‑4 years in their early developmental milestones.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the homeroom teacher for a specific age group (e.g., 1‑2, 2‑3, 3‑4 years).
• Plan and deliver daily classroom activities that align with play‑based and inquiry‑driven pedagogies.
• Maintain a positive, safe learning space and monitor child wellbeing.
• Conduct regular assessments, track progress, and communicate outcomes to parents.
• Organise and lead parent‑teacher meetings to discuss child development.
• Participate in professional development programs and relevant courses.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in a premium early‑years preschool setting.
• Familiarity with modern pedagogies such as Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Waldorf, or inquiry‑based learning.
• Strong passion for early childhood education and a desire to make a meaningful impact.
• Relevant qualification (e.g., B.Ed, Early Childhood Education, NTT, MTT).

Required skills

• Knowledge of Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Waldorf, or inquiry‑based learning methods.
