Planning Engineer – Project Scheduling & Cost Control

About the role

The Planning Engineer will develop and maintain integrated project schedules covering all phases from engineering to hand‑over. The role also includes cost control, budgeting, and coordination with design and procurement teams to ensure alignment of schedules, budgets and cash‑flows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain L1‑L5 project schedules, baseline plans, milestone and tower‑wise programs.
• Track progress, identify critical paths, slippages and prepare recovery actions.
• Prepare look‑ahead schedules (2‑week, monthly, quarterly) and support delay analysis and EOT claims.
• Coordinate preparation of project budgets, monitor cost performance and perform Earned Value Management analysis.
• Prepare monthly Cost‑to‑Complete (CTC) forecasts, cash‑flow forecasts and billing enablement plans.
• Work with architectural, structural, MEP and infrastructure teams to freeze GFC drawings and validate BOQs.
• Produce daily and monthly progress reports, dashboards and management information systems.
• Maintain risk registers, hindrance logs, recovery trackers and support hand‑over and project close‑out planning.

Required profile

• Expert in Project Planning, Scheduling & Controls.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Advanced Excel skills for cost models, cash‑flow and CTC calculations.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and design coordination.
