Maintenance Technician – Plant Operations

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures smooth operation of plant machinery, equipment, and utilities. You will respond quickly to breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and keep accurate records to minimise downtime and maximise equipment efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Attend machine breakdowns promptly and carry out electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnose faults in motors, control panels, wiring, and utility systems.
• Execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance according to schedules.
• Inspect, lubricate and maintain mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, pumps, gearboxes and compressors.
• Perform electrical wiring, cable laying, panel maintenance and troubleshoot control circuits.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and relocation of machinery.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, spare‑parts usage records and report recurring issues.
• Follow safety policies, use PPE and keep work areas clean.

Required profile

• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot machinery and equipment faults.
• Understanding of preventive and breakdown maintenance procedures.
• Willingness to work in shifts and handle emergency breakdowns.
• Team‑oriented with good problem‑solving skills.
