Loss Prevention Executive

About the role

The Loss Prevention Executive ensures the safety and security of guests, employees, and assets at the Courtyard by Marriott Chennai. This role combines proactive patrols, emergency response, and thorough investigations to maintain a secure environment in a hospitality setting.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property, secure rooms, and assist guests with access.
• Conduct emergency‑response drills, daily safety inspections, investigations, and key‑control audits.
• Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels, authorize and document access to restricted zones.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS when needed.
• Gather incident information, complete confidential reports, and release data only to authorized personnel.
• Defuse disturbances, resolve safety hazards, handle complaints, and escort unwelcome persons.
• Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws and follow proper code‑response procedures.
• Support management in training, coaching, and promoting a fair‑treatment policy.
• Maintain professional appearance, uphold company policies, and protect proprietary information.

Required profile

• Prior experience in loss prevention, security, or safety roles within hospitality.
• Physical ability to walk, run, stand, and lift objects up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Strong judgment, confidentiality, and ability to work shifts in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
• Knowledge of local safety regulations and alcohol‑service laws.
