Lead Tolerance Analysis Engineer – eAxle

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Tolerance Analysis Engineer to own and define tolerance concepts for complete eAxle systems, including geartrain, differential, bearings, shafts, housings and e‑motor interfaces. Based in Bangalore, you will lead 3D tolerance stack‑up analyses and act as the tolerance decision authority across functional, manufacturing and cost dimensions.

Key responsibilities

• Define overall tolerance strategy for eAxle systems and lead nominal, worst‑case and statistical (Monte‑Carlo) analyses.
• Approve 2D drawings and 3D PMI in line with ISO GPS / ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Standardize datum and tolerance schemas across projects and drive best‑practice adoption.
• Collaborate with Design, CAE, Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Development and Purchasing teams.
• Participate in DRBFM, design reviews, DfR, FMEA, APQP, PPAP and CCB discussions.
• Represent tolerance engineering in technical deep‑dives with OEMs and global stakeholders (India, Germany, China).
• Lead supplier tolerance concept reviews, capability assessments (Cp/Cpk) and support deviation management.
• Ensure correlation between virtual simulations and physical builds, supporting SOP, ramp‑up and field issue resolution.
• Mentor cross‑functional teams in dimensional problem‑solving.

Required profile

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
• 6‑10 years of experience in tolerance analysis for automotive driveline or transmission systems.
• Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to develop manufacturing‑feasible tolerance solutions.
• Experience working in global, cross‑functional environments (India, Germany, China).
