Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager leads the housekeeping team to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. This role combines operational oversight, quality control, and guest service to maintain high standards across all areas of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train, and supervise housekeeping staff, scheduling work assignments for optimal coverage.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces to verify cleanliness standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders to maintain adequate stock.
• Provide ongoing training on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service.
• Respond promptly to guest concerns related to housekeeping and coordinate with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Prepare and deliver reports on occupancy, room turnover, and cleanliness scores to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management (additional certification in housekeeping is a plus).
• 5–7 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong leadership, organizational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
