About the role
We are seeking a motivated Culinary Associate to join the kitchen team at JW Marriott Mumbai. In this full‑time position you will support food preparation and cooking operations, ensuring dishes meet our high quality and presentation standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing and measuring.
- Cook and assemble hot and cold dishes according to recipes, quality and presentation guidelines.
- Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely and efficiently.
- Monitor food temperatures, test doneness, and maintain food safety standards.
- Set up and break down work stations, serve portions, and ensure proper storage of food items.
- Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment after each shift.
- Follow company safety policies, report incidents and maintain a professional appearance.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a kitchen or food‑service environment.
- Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb.
- Willingness to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting.
Required skills
- Food preparation and portioning.
- Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Measuring, mixing and following recipes.
